Revival: Goodwood vs Maranello
Two places that have marked the history of motor racing are showcased in this exhibition of two parts by the international photographer Uli Weber.
On one side, the unique shots capture the beauty and drama of the competition on the historic Goodwood Revival track in England. The event id muvh more than just a historic race: it is famous for its eccentricity and elegance, recreating the magical atmosphere of the golden age of sports car and motorbike racing from the Thirties to the Sixties.
On the other hand, still lifes of exclusive Ferraris, wrapped in beautiful red drapes, that reveal only a part of their beauty, giving them an almost mysterious air. These photos were taken in honour of these icons of historic motor racing using the sophisticated ‘Bokeh’ technique, the ‘out-of-focus’ effect that recalls the large format plate camera that gave rise to the most beautiful works of the early 20th century.
