Collateral exhibition 16th Edition
Curated by Studio Berni
A fascinating journey, curated by Studio Berni in Parma which, on the background of four settings, narrates about fifty years of our country: from the unforgettable Sixties until nowadays.
With the specific peculiarities linked to the design evolution, the living areas become the occasion to highlight the change of the Italian habits: in a dining room, mainly used for Sunday lunches, the pop culture of the sixties introduces plastic and polka-dots. The space disposition becomes more daring and freedom overflows, even in furniture. While the Seventies flaunt bright and intense tonalities, throughout the following ten years the cure of the design and the constant search of elegance leap out. Closer to nowadays there is the minimalist nature, emphasized by a style that puts in the middle the table and its materials.
A complex installation in stages which, without any historical desire, wants to be the opportunity of a journey through a private memory book for the visitor.
